Remember God's Work!

I have heard all about You, Lord. I am filled with awe by Your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as You did in years gone by. Habakkuk 3:2 (NLT)

Take a minute... Think about your "quick call" list. Yes, the one that most of us have which includes the people we call when things go wrong: a doctor, a handyman, a mechanic. The trusty people we call because they have done "good" work for us in the past.

Now, think about who you call when things go wrong in your life....when troubles come, in times of trials, tribulations, sorrows or injustices.... the situations that seem like they just might defeat you. Who is at the top of your list? Who will you call first for help? Who are you trusting to "work" for you?

In times such as these, remember God! Remember His work.... you have seen it before: His faithfulness....His power.... His character.

God is Sovereign: He is aware of your situation!
"O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You! Jeremiah 32:17 (NLT)

God is Powerful: He is in control of everything!
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 (NLT)

God is Faithful: He will not change!
God is not man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?
Numbers 23:19 (NLT)

Remember that there is nothing- no work, no issue, no situation- too hard for God! He has come through for you before! Trust in Him to do it again!

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NLT)

Heavenly Father, we praise You for being our refuge and strength. Always ready to help in time of great trouble. (ref. Psalm 46:1) In Jesus' Name. AMEN!
