Praise God for His Love!

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name goes all the glory for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1 (NLT)

How can we think about love without thinking about God? We can not know "real" love without knowing God!

God IS love....perfect love! His love has no limits! It is unfailing... unconditional... it endures forever!

As humans, we are incapable of "perfect" love. But as we understand God's love toward us, we are then able to imitate His love in our relationships with others.

The measure of God's love is manifested in His Son Jesus Christ at the cross!
But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God's condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of His Son while we were still His enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of His Son. Romans 5:8-10 (NLT)
The power of God's love is revealed in Jesus Christ our Lord!
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)
Let us meditate of God's love for us... realizing His righteousness towards us. As we grow in our understanding of God's love for us through Jesus Christ, then and only then will we be able to imitate and exhibit "real" love in our relationships with others!
Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (NLT)

Heavenly Father, we praise you for you unfailing love. We realize that it is not because of anything that we have done or will do. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for showing us how to love other. In Jesus' Name. AMEN!
