A NEW SONG!I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:1-3 (NLT)
God hears our cries and He answers! In times of trouble He provides comfort and peace....when we are sick, He provides a healing a hand....when we are down, He lifts our head....He is constantly performing miracles in our lives....
The psalmist describes in the above scripture as being so low that he felt like he was in a pit...mud and mire. He had found himself in a situation that was too difficult to to get out of alone. God heard his cry for mercy in his time of despair and answered!
There are time in our lives when we find ourselves in a "pit" with nowhere to look but up.... God delivers us....He restores us....gives us a new song (a testimony of His goodness to us) and as a result our faith in Him is strengthened.
When God has done great things in our lives, He does so that we may tell others and encourage them. Everything that He does is for His greater work and for His glory. God's work in us is His message through us.... He uses His work in us as a means to spread the message of His mercy and goodness.
Let's sing our song loudly...telling of all the work God has done in and for us...
Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with His godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in Him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord!
Psalm 111:1-4 (NLT)
WHAT SHALL I RENDER!
What shall I render unto the Lord for all of His goodness? What shall I render unto the Lord for all His mercy and grace?
When I am sad, he walks with me, He talks with me and He lets me know I am His own. And when times get bad, the road gets rough, the going gets tough; He promised He'll never leave me alone. What shall I render unto the Lord for all for all of His goodness?
I'M GIVING MY LIFE TO JESUS, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING!
