He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. Titus 2:14 (NLT)Let's face it! WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR ACTIONS! We have a responsibility. We are the Church. God's representatives to the world. We have been saved through Jesus Christ! Set free from the sins of a corrupt and dying world, created anew, CHOSEN! So, how are we representing? As children, we were often told that wherever we went, we were representing our family. How we behaved was a testament to our family. Well, the same is true as children of God. We must be mindful of the message are we sending to the people with whom we are in contact. What do they hear in our talk? Do our actions speak of the family of God to which we belong? As Christians, professing faith, we can not talk the talk and have a shaky walk! No, this is not to say that we will live free from sin. But is does mean that as we live our lives unto God- through His grace- we are convicted by the Spirit which helps us to resist the temptations and increase in our good works. We are called to live faithful lives for God's glory. Our faith is not only that in which we believe but it is also a practice- our way of life. So, let's live out our profession of faith in our loving God by showing the world His goodness through our living!
Dear God, because of your love, through your Son Jesus Christ we are all a part of one body, one team, one family, with one purpose! To glorify you. Amen.
