Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed His powerful arm? My servant grew up in the Lord's presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about His appearance, nothing to attract us to Him. He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down. And we thought His troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins! But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:1-5 (NLT)The prophet, Isaiah, had a message. A message from God- for God's people. The Messiah was coming- He would suffer and die for their sins. Isaiah was a messenger with Good News..... God's gift of Salvation!
But Isaiah had one question: Who will believe our message?
Today we have a message of Good New- a message for God's people. The Messiah.... Jesus Christ has come... He suffered.... died.... was buried.... and He has risen! God's gift of Salvation!
He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right with God.
Romans 4:25 (NLT)
There is no need to wonder who will believe our message. God sends out His messengers and He prepares those along our path who will accept the message. We only have to be willing!
But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scripture say, "How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!"
Romans 10:14-15 (NLT)
Are you willing to let God use you to spread the Good News to those around you?
Heavenly Father thank you for the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. Give us strength and courage not to reject or turn our backs but to boldly spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to those you have put along our paths. In Jesus Name. AMEN!
